When speaking of the sleep of consciousness, many persons remain rightly “banned”, astonished by the concept that we live an illusory life, that our life is a trans like state we live as a dream. They remain doubtful , they can’t belive this. They can realize that their detachement and non unity with the whole, at least intellectualy… but, accepting that the all men live a dream, is unacceptable.
So, can we say that this is a justified or unjustified reaction on a so strange statement? And, is life really a dream we live in?
Of course, considering that our life is a dream as an absolute statement is an absurdity. Life is not a dream: this is a metaphore used to describe a condition of non permanence and relative awareness that every human being ordinary lives.
Dream or illusion is imagining a spiritual reality that we can’t perceive. It’s also illusory accept as real only what our eyes can see, excluding every other possibility. Every man who want’s to awake from this trans like state has to educate himself to open his eyes and strenght his perceptions to become able to distinguish in ourselves what is a result of external constrains and what is real our- what we really are.
Many ancient techniques and disciplines such as meditation have the aim to develop and expnd our objective vision till we achieve a more continuous and clearer perception of reality.
The aim of all this is not to realize that all is a dream, but to experience the reality of the things and in ourselves.
