The following are some quotes based on the work of deepening our understanding of our psychology as related to our awareness.

“Walk as if you are kissing the Earth with your feet.” Thich Nhat Hanh

“Myths are public dreams, dreams are private myths.” Joseph Campbell

“Few of us ever live in the present. We are forever anticipating what is to come or remembering what has gone.” Louis L’Amour

To slave away on the pointless business of mundane life,
And then to come out empty–it is a tragic error. (116)
trans by Robert Thurman”
Huston Smith (The Tibetan Book of the Dead)

“Each place is the right place–the place where I now am can be a sacred space. (3)”
Ravi Ravindra (The Wisdom of Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras: A New Translation and Guide by Ravi Ravindra)

“You have to remember one life, one death–this one! To enter fully the day, the hour, the moment whether it appears as life or death, whether we catch it on the inbreath or outbreath, requires only a moment, this moment. And along with it all the mindfulness we can muster, and each stage of our ongoing birth, and the confident joy of our inherent luminosity. (24)”
Stephen Levine (A Year to Live: How to Live This Year as If It Were Your Last)

“As we encounter new experiences with a mindful and wise attention, we discover that one of three things will happen to our new experience: it will go away, it will stay the same, or it will get more intense. whever happens does not really matter.”
Jack Kornfield (A Path with Heart: A Guide Through the Perils and Promises of Spiritual Life)

“[Mindfulness] is not concerned with anything transcendent or divine. It serves as an antidote to theism, a cure for sentimental piety, a scalpel for excising the tumor of metaphysical belief. (130)”
Stephen Batchelor (Confessions of a Buddhist Atheist)

“To be mindful of social phenomena is thus to identify more clearly hatred, greed, and delusion as well as the seeds of wisdom and compassion both around us and in us.”
Donald Rothberg

“When you are looking in the mirror, you are looking at the problem. But, remember, you are also looking at the solution.” Anonymous

“The light of the body is the eye; therefore when thine eye is single, the whole body is full of light.” Jesus of Nazareth (The Bible – Luke 11-34)

“A human being is a part of the whole called by us universe; a part limited in time and space. He experiences himself, his thoughts, and his feelings as something separate from the rest — a kind of optical delusion of consciousness.”

About mr Sarmoung

Andrea Dandolo je pisac i istražitelj razvoja svijesti i duhovnosti uključen u razotkrivanje drevnih učenja s ciljem olakšavanja unutarnjeg razvoja ljudskih bića.
