What are the Roots of the Ancient Knowledge?

Facing a traditional teaching on self-development, we’ll perceive immediately that it represents a clear path, and not some, more or less interesting or concrete, subjective insights or subjective points of view of some individuals, but rather a methodical and practical system, derived from the understanding of the human structure and functions.

Such kind of Knowing is very ancient, and all what we know about this topic are the references to the ancient texts from all around the world and from different cultures, religions, spiritual traditions, which speak about very ancient ages when humanity, not yet developed, would have acquired a “spiritual” knowing theoretically able to change a human being and his society. This “knowledge” would have disappeared later, such as the memory of those who transmitted it.

What amazes the seekers in this field is the perfection of such methods, capable of grasping subtle concepts of human nature and the Universe, which seems almost impossible to label as a product of man.

Who were the inspirers of such complex knowing? The common vision in the most ancient cultures is that such first guidance of humanity belonged to other worlds or spiritual dimensions.

This theory agrees with the cosmological conceptions of the Hindu “Vedas”, such as the descriptions of the Universe given by the Western Esoteric traditions, and even with Christianity: indeed, the Christian texts described the Angels as bearers of  God’s Will. In many cases, there are mentioned parallel Universes, different dimensions, etc… This is what is mentioned. Now, I don’t want to enter into some speculations about the source of the ancient teachings; indeed these affirmations aren’t of any practical value, so they can be taken only as interesting information.

But in an age where eminent scientists assert the absurdity of considering  humans as the only “intelligent” beings in the physical or multidimensional Universe, it would be good to take a look about what our ancestors said in the fragmented pieces of information which came to us through ancient texts.

What is said about this “corpus” of teachings? It can all be assumed in the following theorem: a human being is not complete, and until now he has developed only a minimal percentage of his potentials; these potentials will be developed through a slow evolution, through centuries. There is  another possibility: a corpus of technical processes which could allow  a single individual a sort of “evolutionary leap”, permitting the complete realization of his unexpressed potentials.

In all the systems dedicated to an inner development, there is always present, a theoretical teaching which represents the foundation of self -study and of the comprehension of the principles which drive a human’s functions and his evolutionary mechanisms. Such theory isn’t dogmatic, so must be accepted through faith, though it is a support for the practical experimentation in our daily life.

It’s probable that all the known religious and spiritual traditions originally belonged to a unique ancient source, and such knowing passed through human history, staying apart with respect to mass culture.

Many traditions speak about a “higher dimension” –  today often called the “fourth dimension” –  from which belong the Teachers who, in various ages, maintained alive the culture of self development, keeping and defending it.

And, such manifestations of Masters are still expected by those traditions: the Avatar, the return of Christ or of the Hebrew Messiah, etc….

In Tibetan Buddhism and Hinduism, this is not a prerogative of only one individual and only in a determined age. They consider that these beings belonging to  nonmaterial dimensions manifest themselves in every century. In Buddhism, these Beings are known under the name of Boddhisattvas: with very simplistic  words, these figures could be defined as  individuals who had truly achieved a  higher state of consciousness, the realization of the “Fourth dimension”, and chose rebirth in order to continue to teach the Path which impels one towards Liberation.

It’s a gentle image who speaks about Love and Compassion for human suffering, but also a vision of a reality who transcends the known world, which is possible to reach and from which is possible to return to help those who live in the Illusion.

About mr Sarmoung

Andrea Dandolo je pisac i istražitelj razvoja svijesti i duhovnosti uključen u razotkrivanje drevnih učenja s ciljem olakšavanja unutarnjeg razvoja ljudskih bića.
