Many times, living a life committed to following a path towards our “Inner Freedom”, every one of us as best as we can with seriousness and determination, we stop a moment to ask if it really is all here. We would like to find an answer to a deep dissatisfaction hidden deep in ourselves while not having any doubts in our inner orientations.
Doubts, some “smart” answers and many, many, many questions arise in our minds and hearts. Many people live the spirituality as an excursion, a relief from the daily routine, a momentary trend, just because we read something about Yoga, Reiki or Feng Shui on some review, or as an intellectual speculation (speaking about topics that we find interesting, but have never touched with our hands what we profess).
Such people haven’t any problem…if they don’t find their answers, they renounce this interest, such as they would renounce a cup of coffee or tea, but…what about those who want to live this “spirituality” in their everyday lives, just because they feel a need to escape from a stagnant world which suffocates them? Saying that it’s only our challenge to find an answer to this is not enough. There’s certainly a need to meet people with related interests and speak with them to share our successes, doubts, and fears.
Some people asked and still ask me why I am writing so many things online, and this is a legitimate question…and, for such a question, it’s needed to give a legitimate answer and, maybe open the doors to a new, important and serious argument which doesn’t involve only myself, but all of you or, at least all of you who are seriously interested in a path for self-development.
The answer to the above mentioned question is: share!!! Is it a Utopia? An illusion? I don’t think so…There’s nothing utopian in sharing with other persons – friends, brothers and sisters – a glimpse of “spirituality” and of the deepest sense of Life. Everyone of us has something to say, to share about this topic – without exception – because, everyone of us has experienced something which made a difference in our life, which changed something, which drove us to see from a new previously unnoticed point of view.
Humans have always met each other in the name of some ideal or a common faith. And that’s also legitimate. The point is: how to obtain such kind of communication and sharing without falling into the trap of sectarianism, reciprocal dependence or, the worst one, of self-conviction that we represent a sort of “circle of chosen individuals”?
Personally, I think that individual freedom and giving to ourselves a sense of responsibility are fundamental for a sober human and inner development. Just don’t think we are the “chosen one”, just to escape the trap of feeling ourselves “better” than the others. Sharing is an act of openness towards others. Even if everyone of us interprets the term “spirituality” according to his culture and experience, what remains unchanged and common is that THIS “spirituality” is a fact of how we perceive life – to live, searching the deepest causes and the Truth: and this means to illuminate all our existence with this research – every moment, every breath of our daily life.
This is an opportunity to share our personal experience with other people, respecting individual freedom and in a non-sectarian atmosphere, free from idealistic or fideist pressures.
